Western United Football Club joins the #SEAFamily
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to welcome Western United Football Club (WUFC) to the #SEAFamily.
Competing in the national A-League competition, Western United FC is in its third season of existence, with the club proudly representing the people from the west of Victoria.
SEA Board Director nominations open now
Sports Environment Alliance is calling for nominations to commence the recruitment process, to elect five new directors to join their board for a three-year term.
Three of the vacancies are existing NEDs whose terms are up this year and who are eligible to renominate. The other two vacancies have arisen due to retirement and term expiry. All roles are honorary, and directors can hold office for a maximum of nine years.
New collaboration with Y Victoria bound for {sport & planet} success
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to announce a new partnership project with YMCA Victoria.
Key objectives of this collaboration are to engage the Y Victoria community in identifying environmental strengths, gaps, and opportunities, and building a sustainable {sport & planet} path towards a future where we do more {for the world} with less {footprint}.
SEA welcomes its first Rugby Union club - the Western Force - to the #SEAFamily
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to announce that the Western Force (the Force) has joined the #SEAChange.
As a professional entity, the Force has a short but proud history, having been formed in 2004 and making its Super 14 debut in 2006 against the Brumbies at Subiaco Oval.
SEA welcomes Thornbury Turf Strokers Cricket Club to the #SEAFamily
SEA is excited to welcome Thornbury Turf Strokers Cricket Club (TTSCC) to the #SEAFamily.
Established in 2009 TTSCC competes in the Mercantile Cricket Association, with their home ground being the picturesque Corben Oval, located in the Yarra Bend Park.
Introducing SEA’s newest member - Regional Sport Victoria
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is pleased to welcome Regional Sport Victoria (RSV) to the #SEAChange.
RSV is the peak body for sport and active recreation in regional Victoria, supporting nine independent Regional Sports Assemblies (RSAs) and covering a population of over 1.45 million rural and regional Victorians. The nine RSAs work directly with 48 local government authorities and are charged with the critical role of supporting the sport and recreation sector within their regional catchments.
Karting NSW joins the #SEAChange
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to welcome Karting (New South Wales) Inc (KNSW) to the #SEAFamily.
Founded in 1987, KNSW is a not-for-profit, member-based organisation and currently operates as the recognised State Sporting Organisation (SSO) for karting in New South Wales.
#SEAChanger Awards {2020} - NEW DATE!
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to announce that a new date for the #SEAChanger Awards {2020} has been secured.
The event will now be held on 27 July 2021 at #SEAMember Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
New bin system swings Summersalt towards sustainability
#SEAMember Summersalt Gymnastics has taken another leap in safeguarding the places where we play, with the introduction of a new three-bin system.
Red, yellow, and green coloured signs above each of the three bins, make it incredibly easy for everyone to determine what goes into green waste, recycling, or rubbish.
SEA partners with Victoria University

Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), VU is committed to making a beneficial contribution to place-based planetary health initiatives through research, teaching and learning, and through the way the university works and engages with its communities and internally.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and restrictions in Melbourne, our #SEAChanger Awards event, originally scheduled for 17 June 2021, has been postponed until further notice.
The #SEATeam is working very hard to make this event happen in person and will communicate alternative dates and arrangements as soon as they are available.

Founded by current CEO, Dr Sheila Nguyen, and former and inaugural Chair Malcolm Speed AO in 2015, SEA is a for purpose, membership organisation focused on protecting the places where we play through the advocacy of sport industry leaders.
