New bin system swings Summersalt towards sustainability

#SEAMember Summersalt Gymnastics has taken another leap in safeguarding the places where we play, with the introduction of a new three-bin system.

Red, yellow, and green coloured signs above each of the three bins, make it incredibly easy for everyone to determine what goes into green waste, recycling, or rubbish.

Summersalt Gymnastics Founder and Director {and former #SEATeam member, who was integral to the launch of SEA} Chelsea Caple said the focus, as always, was on providing a solution that is useful and easy to navigate.

“We believe in providing the fundamentals for not only other sports, but life as well – and, protecting the places where we play for generations to come is a big part of this.

“The introduction of our new bin system is just one of the many areas where we are trying to set a good example of how we can do more {for the world} with less {footprint},” she said.

Looking towards the future, Ms Caple added that Summersalt Gymnastics will continue to source environmentally sustainable, recycled and ethically made products, from their gym floor to their office equipment.

“If we are dedicating our entire business to ensuring children have the best head-start in life, we have to do our part to ensure these kids, and the kids of tomorrow get to enjoy the world as we have known it,” Ms Caple concluded.

In recognising Summersalt Gymnastics’ incredible {sport & planet} efforts, SEA CEO Dr Sheila Nguyen commented how fantastic it was to see the organisation leading and driving environmental change in the Bass Coast sporting community.

“The unique thing about Summersalt Gymnastics is that they are in the privileged position to influence and educate the next generation of change-makers on how to make better choices when it comes to environmental sustainability.

“We #envirolove our members’ collective drive towards a greener future and congratulate Summersalt Gymnastics on this newest initiative!” Dr Nguyen said.
