SEA Board Director nominations open now
The Sports Environment Alliance is calling for nominations to commence the recruitment process to elect five new directors to join its board for a three-year term.
Three of the vacancies are existing Non-Executive-Directors (NEDs) whose terms are up this year and who are eligible to renominate. The other two vacancies have arisen due to retirement and term expiry. All roles are honorary, and directors can hold office for a maximum of nine years.
Nominations open on 16 September 2021 and close on 11 October 2021. Director elections will take place at SEA’s AGM on 25 November 2021.
SEA is building on the spectacular success of its first five years and with the release of the latest IPCC’s report, the timing is right for the elected directors to make a positive impact for environmental sustainability in, by and through sport.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with other passionate directors to lead the sport industry’s engagement with the circular economy through education, and inspiration for a more regenerative Australasia.
SEA is seeking nominations from candidates who have a range of qualifications, skills, experience, and qualities, spanning excellence in board governance, sports administration leadership, or environmental science leadership, to further increase the depth of expertise across SEA’s board of directors.
Candidates interested in the opportunity to provide strategic leadership and guide the growth of SEA, are encouraged to refer to the below links and submit a nomination:
