Adam Cheyne
CEO
Adam brings to SEA two decades of expertise in sustainability, urban planning, and sports management to drive transformative environmental outcomes in the sporting industry. With a professional background in Urban Planning and Sports Management, Adam offers a unique and powerful blend of expertise bridging the gap between environment, sustainability, and the sporting sector.
Adam's extensive experience includes pivotal leadership roles with Parks and Leisure Australia, where he advocated for parks and recreation sectors, as well as strategic leadership positions within National and State Sporting Organisations including Tennis Australia and Tennis Queensland.
Adam is a co-founder of Urbankind, a nationally recognised urban and sports planning studio, further solidifies his understanding of the complexities of the sports industry and its potential to lead positive environmental impact across our communities.
Zandy Powell
Membership & Programs Manager
Zandy joins SEA with a perfect mix of experience in waste, recycling and sport development.
Her first career was in sport, including working as a PE teacher and in sport development at Little Athletics Victora, where she oversaw the Association’s Schools’ Athletics program. In 2003, she commenced work in government educational and engagement roles, where she worked for more than 20 years to support municipal waste management and resource recovery across Melbourne.
Her roles have included expanding and managing membership-based networks, organising training and networking events, identifying partnership opportunities and delivering projects to members and target audiences to reduce waste, increase resource recovery, and improve recycling. This includes a broad focus on public place recycling, circularity and reuse approaches.
Outside of work, Zandy enjoys hiking, dancing, travel and enjoying family time. She is excited about working with SEA to expand and support our members to implement sustainable practices and to protect our places to play for the future.
Sarah McCully
Head of Marketing and Communications
Sarah comes to SEA as an experienced General Manager and business owner with 25 years’ experience within both marketing and sales. This experience divided between the corporate, contractor and agency environments have provided her with the ability to assist organisations to realise their brand or company's true potential by devising and implementing effective strategy.
Sarah’s passion of sport and adventure; she’s a keen sailor, runner, cyclist and hiker, coupled with her passion and enthusiasm to live a sustainable and low impact lifestyle makes her a great fit for SEA and she’s excited about the opportunity to combine all of her loves to make a real difference in protecting the places that we all play in.
Hugo Carson
Memberships Support Officer
Hugo joins SEA early in his career looking to contribute to sustainability efforts whilst learning from industry leaders. He studied a masters of Earth Science but is incredibly passionate about sport and is excited about the role of sports in sustainability.
Having finished his studies Hugo is looking to use his Scientific background to pave a career in sports administration, through either sustainability or on the commercial side of professional sports. Hugo is passionate about all sports but particularly Cricket, which he still plays for a local team. He also closely follows AFL, NBA and soccer
Luke Richardson
Research Volunteer
Luke Richardson’s loves what the sports industry represents and provides to the community.
However, the pressing need to act on improving our environment is something that can't be ignored. What he hopes to do is use his passion for sustainability to educate and support those aspiring to do better
With an interest in facilities management, consumer engagement and industry partnerships, he’s eager to lead the transition of the sports industry towards a greener future 🌱
Natasha Nosiara
Research Volunteer
Natasha is studying a Bachelor of Science at Monash University. To engage further with environmental awareness she joined SEA in 2021 to use her knowledge to give back to the sporting communities she cherishes.
As a Netball and Badminton coach, Natasha enjoys pursuing her passion for sport. She is also an AFL fan and looks forward to family road trips to watch hockey tournaments.
She is particularly interested in understanding how scientific concepts can be conveyed to broad audiences to encourage environmental engagement.
Oliva Bramley

Olivia Bramley is a dual-career Athlete currently in Aus. Her main interest areas are centred around using sport as a lever for social change and include: Organisational Psychology, Culture, Leadership, Athlete Mental Health, High-Performance Sports, and Sports Ecology.
Yashveer Setia
Research Volunteer
Yashveer strongly believe sports is a very effective catalyst which can contribute to global issues such as Environment Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusion, Racism and Equality.
Yashveer’s goal is to leverage his skills that he’s learned over the years from various roles; his studies and his passion for sports to bring a positive change and contribute to the growth of the industry.
Divya Gupta

Divya is originally from India and has fallen in love with Australia. She enjoys camping and hiking in the forest, or white-water rafting in the rivers.
Divya has an MBA and Master of Commerce from Deakin University and has experience working as a E-Business consultant, Management Consultant, and Internal Auditor.
While currently working full time as a Business Analyst Divya has an exuberant energy to give back to the community and preserve this beautiful world. In her free time, Divya likes exploring new adventures. The latest ones are Irish dancing and Krav Maga. Divya’s hobbies are inclusive of but not limited to dancing, painting, writing, and cooking new vegetarian recipes.
Monica Chen
Administration and Research Volunteer
Monica is a student at RMIT University studying Environmental Science and Business (Management). With her deep appreciation for nature, she enjoys spending her time outside and capturing it on a camera, especially the rainy days. Some of her passions include going for a run, playing badminton, sketching and doing something creative.
Monica is looking to expand her knowledge and ways on how she can help the planet and her community by volunteering at SEA. She is pursuing to experience more of this vast world.
