The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is pleased to announce that SEA foundation member the GIANTS have re-joined the organisation.

Felicity Ross, GIANTS Head of Finance, said the club is proud to re-join SEA as part of an ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of people in Western Sydney, Canberra, and its broader communities.

“We want to work collaboratively with organisations to stay true to our community pillars of Harmony, Health, Education and Employment, and as part of this, to have a positive impact on the environment,” she said.

She added that through a climate action working group, which meets regularly, the GIANTS have been actively implementing several sustainability initiatives.

“These include solar panels that provide electricity to the GIANTS’ premises, organic waste bins and method recycling, LED lights and sensor lights, the use of recycled water in bathroom facilities and keep cup coffee discounts at the GIANTS’ Café.”

In welcoming the GIANTS to SEA, Katherine O’Regan, SEA CEO, said that SEA looks forward to learning more about the club’s current sustainability initiatives, as well as supporting its ongoing efforts in this space.

“We look forward to working with the GIANTS, sharing their insights, and connecting them to our extensive domestic and international network of change makers,” she said.
