Meet our #SEAPartner - Enervest

Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) works to support SEA Members’ eco journeys through education, linking them to the wider sport and planet community, and celebrating their good {planet} leadership and actions.

SEA is proud to do this important work in collaboration with an incredible network of SEA Partners - including Enervest.

A decarbonisation journey

Enervest is an Australian owned and operated company, specialising in the design, construction, and operation of dispatchable generation and storage assets.

In a nutshell, Jason Downes, Project Development and Business Development Manager at Enervest, explained that Enervest is a specialist end-to-end provider of renewable energy assets, with a long standing track record in solar PV and battery storage for commercial power users.

“With the high-degree of uncertainty around rising cost of living and particularly energy prices, now is a critical time for organisations to start their journey of energy independence and becoming an agent of change.

“We are proud to conduct desktop reviews that provide a clear, executable roadmap to clean, on-site energy for our clients’ facilities,” he said.

A shared vision for a clean future

The synergy between Enervest and SEA is highlighted by both organisations’ desire to create a greener, cleaner future, so we continue to have places to play for generations to come.

“SEA and Enervest embody a shared vision for a clean sport industry to demonstrate strong, genuine environmental stewardship,” Mr Downes said.

And, beyond a tangible focus on planet matters,  sport also happens to be reflected in the very DNA of Enervest and its staff.

“Active lifestyle, health {people & planet} and abundance run through the veins of the Enervest founders with a long-lived history in outdoor sports, organics, and farming.

“All these areas share a fundamental need for clean spaces and places of play and work. We feel a strong sense of connection to giving back to the industries that have given us so much.”

Renewables in action

One of many real-life examples of Enervest’s work is #SEAMember Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants’ training facility at Sydney Olympic Park, which boasts a rooftop covered in solar PV.

Mr Downes explained that this asset provides direct clean energy to the site, to offset significant proportions of the club's energy emissions and costs alike.

“It has over-performed year-on-year and continues to be a beacon of positive change in the sporting world at a professional level,” he concluded.
