Sports Environment Alliance welcomes two new non-executive Directors to the Board
Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is pleased to announce the appointment of two non-executive directors, Melanie Robertson and Kieran Power, following an extensive national search. The addition of Melanie and Kieran brings a wealth of experience and expertise further strengthening SEA’s Board.
Melanie joins the board with expansive corporate leadership experience in not-for-profit membership-based organisations, government and for-profit organisations in the health and renewable energy sectors.
She is the CEO of Forest Stewardship Council Aust/NZ and has held NED roles with Environs Australia, Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance and Motorcycling Victoria amongst others.
As a project engineer and asset manager for West Wind Energy and Acciona (a global leader in renewable energy ie wind farms), and with experience in governance and risk management through various board roles, Melanie’s skills will both complement and add to those of SEA’s directors as the Board continues to lead, educate and empower the broad sport ecosystem.
Kieran is an environmental and social scientist with deep experience convening cross-sectoral stakeholders around climate action and sustainability. He joins the SEA board with 15 years of experience leading sustainability teams in Australia, Europe and the Middle East with consultancies Deloitte, WSP and AECOM.
Kieran works for purpose-led sustainability advisory firm Nation Partners, where he supports governments, businesses and not-for-profits to build their climate change responses, engage with sustainability accreditation schemes, and contribute to nature repair and regeneration.
Kieran is a NED of the Landscape Foundation of Australia, ICDA Certified Community Director, and holds an in MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
His deep understanding and commitment to sustainability will be instrumental in supporting SEA’s vision and objectives.

Margot acknowledged the Nominations Committee for its work in managing the selection process.
