South Pole is driven by a simple, yet powerful purpose - act today for a better tomorrow. The company understands that we are all part of the solutions to our climate challenges and strives for a world where businesses, governments, and communities make climate action the new normal.

Despite operating on a global scale, South Pole offers carefully tailored climate, carbon, and energy solutions for our unique environment here in Australia and New Zealand. With an international team of over 500 social entrepreneurs, the company can draw on an unrivaled pool of expertise to find strategic climate solutions for any situation.

As well as supporting organisations to take climate action, South Pole is a global leader in the development of climate action projects. The organisation develops and finances projects around the world that reduce carbon emissions, protect biodiversity, and bring real benefits for local communities. South Pole has developed over 700 projects, reduced over 170 million tonnes of CO2 and positively impacted the lives of over 20 million people.

One of their recent highlights is working with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) to launch their Carbon Compensation Program. Through this partnership, the AGPC and racing fans are supporting climate action projects and offsetting carbon emissions.

Supporting the #SEAFamily

South Pole is an experienced player in the global sports and environment movement and understands the sector must be part of climate action. It has worked with some of the largest sporting organisations in the world, including FIFA and the New York Yankees, providing knowledge and guidance to support their respective climate journeys. This experience is invaluable to the sports community right here in Australia and New Zealand,  where South Pole is collaborating with a number of sporting events and venues.

Working together to #SEA_theChange

Joining the #SEAFamily has enabled South Pole to connect with sports leaders in the  region, providing an opportunity to share knowledge, insights, and solutions. South Pole provides support for #SEAMembers and others in the sporting community on complex tasks such as understanding their carbon footprint through greenhouse gas accounting, net zero road maps and the decarbonisation of supply chains and operations.

Together, SEA and South Pole are aiming to support the #SEAFamily and broader sports community to become climate action leaders. Both organisations understand the power of sports and its ability to be a game changer in the climate space. Having already teamed up for a number of insightful and engaging events, we can expect many more to come as this partnership continues to strengthen and evolve over the coming years.

We #envirolove having partners like South Pole with the knowledge, expertise, and ambition to help our members and the broader sustainable sport community excel in their journeys toward a clean future.
