SEA Annual Report 2021-22
Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is pleased to release the Annual Report 2021-2022.
During a continued time of uncertainty, which made climate planning and action difficult, SEA had to remain flexible in its approach.
The organisation had to adapt and learn how to deliver a game plan that ensured Members and the broader SEA community could continue working on what counts – protecting our places of play – while facing both lockdowns and the eventual opening of both Australia and New Zealand post COVID-19.
SEA also learnt that although change can be challenging, and the first step is hard, it is always worth it to embrace, be adaptable, flexible and agile.
Highlights of the past financial year included:
the SEA Summit held on 3 March 2022, held in-person at the MCG for the first time since 2019 {our 2020 summit was digital due to COVID-19}.
the introduction of Candid Climate Conversations, featuring SEA’s valued Ambassadors.
the growth of the SEA community to 100+ Members (including Members, Associate Members, Partners, Ambassadors, and Friends of SEA).
the launch of a new SEA Member online community space - which provides another means to be more connected.

SEA takes this opportunity to thank its Members, Associate Members, Partners and Ambassadors, as well as the broader sport and environment movement, whose contributions and enthusiasms ensure SEA's message and work is and remains guided by science for the benefit of the planet.
