The Sports Environment Alliance welcomes its newest member: Sandringham District Netball Association!
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to welcome Sandringham District Netball Association (SDNA) to the SEA family.
Located in the beautiful bayside region of Melbourne, SDNA started from humble beginnings with only three foundation clubs in 1987. Since then, ‘Sandy’ has grown to become a large association with high participation rates, providing an opportunity for people of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds to play netball in a welcoming environment.
With planning for a new regional netball facility underway, SDNA joins SEA with a commitment to ensuring the development has environmental sustainability at the forefront of the design. Kris Pierce, Facility Project Manager, outlined this in saying “We are working with the design team to ensure the design incorporates environmentally sustainable measures. We have a great opportunity to set the benchmark and are committed to being a leader in this space.”
She also added that ensuring environmentally sustainable outcomes was of utmost importance to the continued growth and success of the association and wider community, stating “It is both the ethos of our organisation and the Bayside City Council to build the most environmentally friendly facility, both now and for the future.”
Welcome to the #SEAFamily, Sandringham District Netball Association! We look forward to celebrating all that you do, to protect our places of play for future generations.
