Sports Environment Alliance welcomes Peninsula Kingswood Golf and Country Club to the SEA family
Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is proud to welcome Peninsula Kingswood Golf and Country Club (PK) as its newest member.
The club's commitment to environmental sustainability aligns with SEA's mission to facilitate a united effort towards tackling sustainability challenges in and through sport.
Anthony White, Director of Operations at PK, explained that the club acknowledges its responsibility to the environment and is committed to implementing practices which will promote environmental sustainability.
"Joining SEA and having a connection with other like-minded stakeholders will help with this obligation. As the expectations of corporate and sport responsibility increase, and as transparency becomes more prevalent, we at PK are recognising the need to operate sustainably now and into the future," he said.
Mr White further explained that the PK Board has endorsed an 'Environmental Sustainability Policy' that demonstrates its commitment to protecting the environment.
“By joining SEA, the club gains access to valuable resources and tools to help implement practices that promote sustainability,” he added.
In welcoming PK to the SEA family, Jan Fitzgerald, SEA CEO, said that she is delighted to see Peninsula Kingswood Golf and Country Club join a growing network of sporting organisations committed to promoting environmental sustainability.
“The club has already implemented several environmentally friendly practices, including waste minimisation and recycling, energy efficiency, minimal use of chemicals, water resource management, and nature and biodiversity conservation.
“These initiatives reflect their commitment to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.
“Together, we can reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a better future for generations to come,” she said.
