National Sports & Environment Conference - EARLY BIRD ticket sale ends 12 May

We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural National Sports & Environment Conference. The conference is co-located with the National Sports & Physical Activity Convention and will take place on 27 & 28 July 2023, at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The event will:

  • Bring together sports professionals, policymakers, and researchers to discuss the impact of sports on the environment and explore ways to create more sustainable practices in the industry.

  • With a particular focus on climate change, the conference will also address other environmental impacts such as waste management and energy efficiency.

  • Provide a unique opportunity for attendees to network, share ideas, and collaborate on ways to build a more sustainable future for sports.

  • Offer experiences for attendees to learn about the latest innovations and strategies for creating environmentally friendly sports events and facilities.

Our special guest and keynote speaker, Claire Poole, Founder and CEO of Sport Positive, will join us in Melbourne to share her exclusive industry insights, providing attendees with the latest news and insights in the sports and sustainability space.

This event not only allows delegates to tap into SEA's incredible sports and sustainability-related program but also take advantage of the NSC EXPO and network with a diverse range of domestic and international sports industry professionals. There is also the opportunity to take part in a day of pre-conference tours, where delegates will visit some innovative venues around Melbourne, and see some best practice sustainability initiatives being implemented.
