Middle Park Football Club joins the Sports Environment Alliance
The Sports Environment Alliance welcomes its newest member: Middle Park Football Club
The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is excited to welcome Middle Park Football Club (MPFC) as the newest member of the SEA family. MPFC is the very first community football club to join SEA, a truly remarkable show of environmental leadership.
A club with a proud history and commitment to excellence both on and off the field, MPFC offers members of the Port Phillip community the opportunity to play football in a friendly, welcoming environment, regardless of age or skill level.
MPFC joins SEA having already embedded sustainability in the club’s culture and a hunger to do more {for the world} with less {footprint}. Focussing on the three R’s – reduce, reuse, recycle – MPFC has identified the influence and impact of sport in the local community and is committed to raising awareness and educating club and community members about environmental sustainability.
Jason Whiting, MPFC’s Government and Community Liaison said, “we see our SEA membership as key to ensuring our club members are engaged & aware of the influence and role each of us play in being part of the environmental movement representing sport and its communities”.
He also acknowledged the clubs goal of ensuring environmental sustainability is evident among all aspects of club operations, stating, “as new members of SEA, we look forward to identifying roles & responsibilities both on & off the pitch to influence environmental sustainability.”
Welcome to the family, Middle Park Football Club. We can’t wait to support your journey and celebrate all of your environmental achievements along the way. We agree when you say you’re ‘the best community football club in Victoria!’
