The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) has today announced its membership with the Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) – an organisation committed to do more for the world with less footprint, so we can continue to have places to play.

The alliance finds value in sharing knowledge and building networks to enhance the industry’s engagement in the clean economy, making SEA a valuable partner to support AGPC in the next steps of its sustainability journey.

SEA brings together key sporting bodies across the board, to work together and exchange ideas to help effectively manage the changes in our natural environment.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation General Manager – Operations, Amy Hill, said that this is an exciting time in AGPC’s efforts to enhance the sustainability of both the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

“Joining the Sports Environment Alliance provides us with the opportunity to learn from and contribute to the industry’s passion for creating a more sustainable future,” she said.

“We are thrilled to be a part of a movement that is committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our events through collaboration, knowledge sharing and new initiatives.”

Sports Environment Alliance Executive Director, Sheila Nguyen, is excited to have the AGPC become part of the alliance and to make the environmental footprint an important consideration in the planning and development of its events.

“We welcome the Australian Grand Prix Corporation to our family and are looking forward to all of the good work they will do and the great attention their iconic events will bring to our climate challenges from national and international audiences,” Nguyen said.
