Squash Australia joins SEA

Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is pleased to welcome Squash Australia as the newest member of the organisation.

Squash Australia CEO, Robert Donaghue said “Squash Australia is committed to advocating for and introducing environmentally friendly practices across the sport that help make the operations of its clubs more efficient and sustainable.”

Mr Donaghue added that the organisation is working on developing an environmental sustainability strategy to best help its clubs become more energy efficient and reduce water usage. Squash Australia also looks to continue to recycle and reuse old equipment and move towards paperless digital systems for competitions and club bookings.

SEA Consultant CEO, Katherine O’Regan welcomed the announcement, stating, “It’s fantastic when a national sporting body comes on board as a member of SEA. The leadership shown by Squash Australia can affect its 170,000 participants and 350 clubs and affiliations across Australia, paving the way to make real change. We look forward to helping the organisation on its sustainability journey as we continue to protect the places where we play.”
