EVENT INFO
Event background
Every year, the Sports Environment Alliance hosts the #SEASummit, to provide a place for our family and the greater clean economy community to engage on solutions to protect what matters to us: blue skies, clean water, and green grass.
As part of the #SEASummit, we celebrate those who make remarkable efforts to minimise their environmental impact, make their sports more sustainable and act as environmental stewards to ensure that we continue to have spaces and places to play and present them with the #SEAChanger Awards.
At the last #SEASummit, SEA proudly announced #SEAMember Australian Grand Prix Corporation and non-SEA member Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, Golf & Country Club as the winners of the #SEAChanger Awards.
The Australian Grand Prix Corporation demonstrated a range of sustainability initiatives in their Green Prix Program leading up to the 2020 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, notably donating over 1.5 tonnes of food due to the last-minute cancellation.
Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort, Golf & Country Club exhibited innovative and sustainable solutions for golf course maintenance systems, recycling and reusing over 30 million litres of wastewater - enough water to fill 12 Olympic sized swimming pools and reducing water consumption by 18 percent.
