Green Sports Alliance have just released their Energy Decarbonization Playbook.

Energy is vital for operating sports and entertainment venues. These venues require extensive heating, cooling, lighting, cooking, and ventilation, making them substantial energy consumers.

A venue can consume as much energy during a single football game as 10,000 homes would use in

the same period. Given the scale of energy consumption, addressing energy decarbonization is

critical and offers significant opportunities for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

This playbook is tailored to venues already in operation and aims to guide sports venues in reducing carbon emissions from building operations while maintaining service levels and operational excellence.
