SEA is excited to share the result of a fruitful two-year collaboration with the Victorian Government: ‘Future proofing community sport & recreation facilities: A roadmap for climate change management for the sport and recreation facilities sector’
This free-to-use resource is set to empower, equip and motivate the sport and recreation community to take action today {for our clean tomorrow}.
The Guide provides insight on our future climate affected landscape, lists mitigation and adaptation actions we can take, and encourages a team effort to protect the places where we play and engage in recreation.
The online self-assessment tool can be used to understand how engaged and supported a club is on their eco journey and what steps they can take to advance their efforts. These resources were created to support a journey, not to judge how far or close you are to any ‘destination’.
If you are in the wide world of community sport & recreation and want to know how to future proof (through mitigation and adaptation), we invite you to access, share and use:
We also want to take this opportunity to share our #envirolove to everyone who has been involved in this project. Without your tireless efforts, brain-storming and brilliant contributions, this would not have been possible.
We are grateful for the Victorian State Government’s support with this project.
Without you all, we wouldn’t be able to #SEA_theChange!
